My Journey

Born in The Sierra Nevada Mountains, I’ve always held a strong connection to music and nature. Finding an irresistible draw towards the Trombone, I found that I could use my voice and my life experiences to bring people together.

Much of my early education began in taking lessons and private study. Some of my teachers during this time were Phil Teele, Studio Bass trombonist from the LA area and Don Glattley, former Bass Trombonist of the Sacramento Symphony.

After attending the University of Nevada, Reno under the study of Dr. James Albrecht, I continued my education at Carnegie Mellon University

Along my journey, I quickly branched out to play other instruments, including Tenor Trombone, Bass Trumpet, and Contrabass Trombone.

After years of Study under Pete Sullivan and Jeff Dee of the Pittsburgh Symphony, I’ve recently graduated with my Masters in Bass Trombone and an Advanced degree in Tenor Trombone, hoping to further my passion for performing.

Like anyones journey, it has been filled with great friends, challenges and victories. I strive to continue to bring my passion and desire to perform at the highest level.
